Framiac 4 includes the following features:

1. Invoicing.
Framiac can now add multiple jobs to a single quote or invoice. To invoice
the current job, click the Invoice button on the toolbar. The invoice button has
a "$" symbol. This will create a quote including the current job with
the ability to add other jobs from a drop-down list. When the quote is saved, it
will automatically convert to an invoice. The invoice can be converted back to a
quote by clicking File/Convert on the invoice Framiac. Once a Quote/Invoice has
been saved, it cannot be changed, other than to make invoices. If the current job is
already invoiced when you click the Invoice button, the Open Invoice dialog box
will appear so you can select an existing invoice to open. Click Help/Find
Help/Invoice for more information.
2. Import MYOB Customers.
This feature has been discontinued.
3. Save Job automatically converts job quotes to orders.
When you click Save Job, the Job will automatically be converted to an order.
The order can be converted back to a job quote by clicking file/convert.
4. Password protection for Settings and Catalogs.
A password can now be set for the Catalog Framiac and the Settings Framiac. The
Settings password also applies to the private version of the Price Breakdown. Click
Settings/Sundries/Security.
5. Standard Jobs are now Templates.
Standard jobs are now known as Templates. Templates can be created and edited
from the Settings Framiac. When you open a template from the Open Job button, the
template is automatically opened as a quote. This approach prevents staff inadvertently
changing Templates. Click Help/FindHelp/Templates
6. Shortcut keys.
Framiac now has a number of built-in shortcuts to save you using the mouse.
These shortcuts are activated by pressing a key while holding down the Control key [CTRL]
Shortcuts available on the Job form are:
CTRL+N for New Job
CTRL+Page Down for New Job for same customer
CTRL+O for Open Job
CTRL+T for Calculate Total
CTRL+D for Enter Discount
CTRL+S for Save Job
CTRL+P for Print Jobsheet
CTRL+I for Raise Invoice
CTRL+HOME will return the cursor to the Customer box at the top of the Job form.
Shortcuts available on the Invoice form are:
CTRL+J for Pay Job
CTRL+I for Pay Invoice
CTRL+S for Save
CTRL+P for Print

To access the Framiac on any form without using the mouse, press the function key F10, then use the arrow keys to navigate the Framiac.

7. Calculate Price button redesigned.
The Calculate Price button now has a calculator icon and has been moved to
the left of the toolbar where it is grouped with other frequently used items.
8. Deposits are now Payments.
Framiac now maintains a history of invoices against a job. To view all
invoices for a job, open the job and double-click on the invoice amount.
9. Show outstanding balance for all customers jobs.
From the Customers form, click Show Jobs.
10. Set start numbers for jobs and invoices.
Go to the Sundries form if you wish to choose start numbers for jobs and invoices.
11. Choose to preview or print Jobsheets, Quotes, Invoices and Statements.
Go to the Sundries form to choose whether or not to view Jobsheets, Quotes, Invoices and
Statements in Print Preview mode or to print directly to the printer.
12. Prices rounded to nearest 0.10.
Prices rounded to nearest 0.10 in line with convention. Internal currency
calculations remain at 0.0001 precision.
13. Easier to delete items on Job form.
It is now easier to delete items selected on the Job form. To delete a Frame,
Backing etc, simply delete the code from the list and the item will be deleted
from the job.
14. Additional features on Jobsheet.
The Jobsheet now shows the hanging position. By default the hanging position
is set to 30% down from the top of the form. The dotted cutting line below the
Customer Docket can now he hidden. Change these settings on the Sundries form.
Formal customer salutation also appears on the Customer Docket and address
details are now in larger (10pt) font.The Framiac promo line no longer appears
at the foot of Jobsheets, Quotes, Invoices or Statements.
15. Alphanumeric bin numbers.
Moulding bin numbers now accept alpha-numeric format, maximum 4 characters.
16. Catalog Import Wizard allows column headers.
Optional column headers in catalog import file make field selection easier.
17. Customer form now allows multi-line street address. To add a new line to
the street address, use the ENTER key.
18. Optimize database and program.
There are 3 new items in the Framiac group on the Windows Start Framiac. Optimize
Database, Optimize Program and Help. Help provides simple instructions for
Optimize Database and Optimize Program. These items replace Tune Up from the
Framiac Job form Framiac.
