In simple terms, all Windows computers today have more than enough power to run Framiac. The more important consideration in
buying a business computer is reliability. The big name brands are not necessarily the most reliable. When they do require service,
they often have to be sent away. Buy a computer from a local supplier with a reputation for after sales support.
If you really want to know the specs ... to use Framiac, you need:
- Processor: 1 GHz or higher.
- Memory (RAM): 1 GB or higher.
- Operating System:
- Windows XP
- Windows Vista
- Windows 7 (32 bit and 64 bit)
- Hard Disk: 30 MB of available hard disk space. Additional space will be required as more jobs
are entered. Hard disk should be internal; external USB drives are not
supported.
- Display: 1024 x 768 or higher.
- Mouse or compatible pointing device.
- Broadband internet access and a verifiable email account.
CD-RW drive recommended for backup
An Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) is strongly recommended for computer reliability.
Wireless networks are not supported due to potential data loss.
